The running toilet, the drip you hear at night, the disposal that hums and does nothing, the shower that won't stay hot. Small jobs, and the kind that cost real money in water or damage if they're left alone.
Toilets
- Running or refilling on its own: usually a worn flapper or fill valve. A constantly running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons a day without anyone noticing.
- Rocking or leaking at the base: a failed wax ring or loose closet bolts. Don't wait on this one: it soaks the subfloor.
- Weak flush or frequent clogs: could be the toilet, or a partial clog further down the line. We'll tell you which.
- Replacement: new toilets set level and sealed, with a new supply line and shutoff if the old one is corroded.
Faucets and sinks
- Dripping faucets: worn cartridges, washers, and seats. Hard water wears these out faster across the Front Range.
- Low flow from a scaled aerator or cartridge
- New kitchen and bathroom faucet installs, including pull-down and touchless models
- Leaking sink drains, P-traps, and supply lines
Garbage disposals
A disposal that hums but won't spin is often jammed and can be freed. One that leaks from the bottom has usually failed internally and needs replacing. We install new disposals with the right horsepower for your kitchen and check the dishwasher connection while we're there.
Showers and tubs
- Shower valves that drip, run too hot or too cold, or won't shut off: usually a cartridge we can replace without opening the wall
- Pressure-balance and thermostatic valve repairs
- Tub spouts, diverters, and shower heads
- New tubs and shower bases, including tub-to-shower conversions (photos below)
- Valve replacement during a bathroom remodel
Small fixes worth doing before they're emergencies
- Shutoff valves under sinks and toilets that won't turn or that drip when you touch them
- Braided supply lines more than about 10 years old
- A main water shutoff that's seized. You'll want it to work the day a pipe bursts.
- High water pressure from a failed pressure-reducing valve: banging pipes, a running toilet, or a dripping water heater relief valve
- Outdoor faucets that froze and split last winter
